Hockey Hall of Fame -
Past and the Future
IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE
Czech ice hockey isn’t just a sport; it’s a national emblem. Now, an ambitious overhaul merges nostalgia with next-level immersion.
This reinvention fuses physical exhibits with cutting-edge XR, captivating younger fans while honoring legends. The result? A dynamic shrine to Czech hockey’s proud legacy.
As museums worldwide embrace digital transformation, this project demonstrates how cherished history can thrive with modern, interactive storytelling. From scanning fragile, vintage gear for 3D archives to weaving immersive visuals throughout, the Czech Hockey Hall of Fame redefines sports heritage with a future-focused, audience-centric design.
KEY ELEMENTS
The Show of Tomorrow
This transformation isn’t mere spectacle—it’s a strategic pivot, designed to future-proof sports heritage while inspiring the next generation of hockey devotees.
At its core, this project leverages cutting-edge technology to preserve the legacy of Czech ice hockey in both tangible and virtual realms. 3D scans of vintage pucks, jerseys, and trophies bring these objects into the digital age, ensuring global accessibility and multi-generational appeal.
Meanwhile, immersive zones and AR overlays keep fans actively engaged, bridging tradition and tech.
Crucially, the Hall addresses a shifting audience demographic - where younger visitors crave hands-on interaction, older fans seek authenticity. By offering both an on-site “hockey temple” and a mirrored virtual platform, it appeals across generational lines.
The synergy of live artifacts, real-time data, and story-rich digital experiences elevates the museum into a globally relevant landmark.
In this new era, heritage meets high-tech to unite fans, preserve milestones, and spark fresh enthusiasm for the future of Czech ice hockey.
NEW WAY
A living archive emerges, turning museum moments into larger than life interactive milestones that spark memories and awe.
For families, it’s an interactive day out that sparks curiosity. For hockey enthusiasts, it’s a deep-dive into iconic matches and players. And for global fans who can’t travel to Prague, the virtual platform delivers a near-seamless experience, bridging distance and uniting the Czech hockey community worldwide.
At the start, a core team collaborated to define the user journey. We mapped each exhibit zone to a storyline, ensuring visitors could follow the evolution of Czech hockey chronologically or explore by star players and legendary moments.
Skilled 3D artists created assets while technical modeler handled artifact scanning with painstaking care to capture every detail.
Meanwhile, software developers integrated these digital replicas into interactive holograms and AR experiences, creating a seamless blend of physical and digital content.
Every visitor steps into a theater of innovation - where historic milestones shine in digital brilliance.
We have designed a concept of Interactive Cinema using a state-of-the-art LED Wall synchronized with other screens to create the "WOW" factor. A strong content management system powers the virtual hall, allowing real-time updates for new inductees or fresh data. This synergy ensures the Hall of Fame stays relevant, captivating both long-standing fans and curious newcomers.
There was a long journey from the initial conception, the whole build process - until we were able to too the final result. The design had to accommodate older visitors who enjoy static displays while offering robust digital layers for younger audiences. Thus, there are also curated physical glass cases highlight classic jerseys, pucks, and trophies, complemented by dynamic screens playing highlight reels.
