On December 6, 2024, a new kind of awards night lit up New York. The Moonshot Awards blended immersive design with real impact, turning a gala into a thrilling launchpad of ideas.
From interactive showcases to 360° projections, every detail invited guests into a story of bold ambitions. It wasn’t just a ceremony - it was a collective leap into a better tomorrow.
In an era where dull presentations no longer suffice, these awards redefined event engagement. Sponsors, philanthropists, and innovators converged to witness how immersive storytelling can blend brand impact with social good. By merging entertainment and fundraising, Moonshot proved that bold visions deserve an equally bold platform.
Each award category - from ‘AI for Good’ to ‘Art for Peace’ - unfolded as a live narrative. Digital walls came to life with swirling code or serene doves, plunging guests into the innovators’ world.
This audiovisual theatrical approach sparked genuine empathy, guiding donors to connect with each cause on a personal level. Immersion wasn’t just a buzzword; it was a gateway to action.

For example during a music performance - audiovisual design of the venue reacted to the beats with change of motion design animation.
By immersing each attendee in the winners’ life with a short video with artistic narration, the Moonshot Awards sparked interest and purpose in every heart - and lit a path for meaningful impact.
For the fundraising part - we used live animation triggers that changed the graphics based on how much money was raised. Meaning attendees could see sparks going off and starting viral reactions that lit up the whole room when reaching target. This active format created community: guests weren’t mere spectators but co-creators, shaping the narrative of global change. Such interactive storytelling forged deeper relationships and lasting impact.

1. Unique brand-aware creative direction
We need to start with a deep understanding of the message and the brand telling it.
I created a whole new visual style specifically for Moonshot Awards - based on the colors and illustrations that Moonshot Platform uses, however we needed to push it into a more realistic direction. We also decided to use the world at night - with Moon-light as a symbol for Moonshot helping innovative projects around the world that bring social impact and change.
2. Cinematic story - Custom background for each section
Once we had unique style, we developed a cinematic narrative where each award category became its own visual chapter, complete with custom backgrounds that told individual stories while weaving together into one cohesive evening-long experience.
3. Real-Time Impact Visualization
Contributors saw immediate feedback on a digital canvas - every pledge sparked a virtual seedling or lit a world map - making philanthropy tangible and immediate.
4. Bespoke Animated reveals for each Category and Winner
Each winner's announcement became a bespoke experience. We created personalized story vignettes combining career milestones, intimate photos, and poetic narration, all brought to life through dynamic animations and celebratory lighting that made every moment feel electric and meaningful.
